Event description

Tour your local library and visit the book club.

Visit the children’s department, learn about the cataloging system, and go behind the scenes to see how the automated check-in system works. Hear about digital resources and databases offered to assist with your homeschool education.

Following the tour, we will join the homeschool book club. Students choose a book of choice from a monthly assigned topic or genre. They come together to share the book with the group. The goal for the book club is to introduce students to books outside of their normal reading zone or be introduced to something they never thought they would be interested in. If you wish to participate in the book club, prepare by reading a book recommended to you by a friend (February’s topic).

Your local library wants to be an amazing resource for families. Let them! Come and ask your librarian questions. Learn about how the library can assist your homeschool journey.

This tour is limited capacity and designed for ages 5-12. Should your toddler, preschooler, or teen be interested, please contact us as the library has valuable resources for them!

Thank you for your attendance upon registration.
